Honolulu is a fabulous tropical city located on the island of Oahu and is the capital and largest city of the state of Hawaii. Ala Moana Center is the largest shopping mall in Hawaii and the largest open-air shopping mall in the world. The mall's main stores are Shirokiya, Sears, Macy's, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus.

Since Elvis made the island famous in Blue Hawaii, many movies have been filmed here including South Pacific, Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Arc. Lihue, the islands largest town, is located on the east side and is the arrival point of most visitors to Kauai. Waimea, a town on the south coast of the island, is where the English explorer Captain James Cook first came ashore on the Hawaiian Islands in 1778. Waimea canyon has been called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific and although smaller and younger than the real Grand Canyon it certainly is an amazing sight. The southern and eastern sides of the island have beautiful white sand beaches ideal for getting away from it all.
